First, you must apply for a royalty advance. Applications for Symphonic royalty advances are available within SymphonicMS, but only if you meet certain eligibility criteria. You can apply for a Symphonic royalty advance or Sound Royalties advance, but each option has its own specific requirements. To apply for an advance through Symphonic, you must be logged into your account. If you’re not yet a client, you can Join Symphonic. If you’re already a client, Log In to access the application in your account.
There is no fee to apply.
Every situation is unique and is assessed as such however, a general rule is that you have to have some earnings to be considered for a royalty advance.
Most the advances are paid in days or weeks, not months. Of course this is dependent on Symphonic’s receipt of the application and requested supporting documentation in a complete and timely manner. Our partners work along a similar timeline to advance royalties on projects generally within days to weeks. An application from Symphonic will require an update to your agreement.
