First, you must apply. Applications for Symphonic royalty advances are available if you qualify and within the SymphonicMS. Sound Royalties applications are below. Certain criteria must be met for each option.
There is no fee to apply.
Every situation is unique and is assessed as such however, a general rule is that you have to have some earnings to be considered for a royalty advance.
Most the advances are paid in days or weeks, not months. Of course this is dependent on Symphonic’s receipt of the application and requested supporting documentation in a complete and timely manner. Our partners work along a similar timeline to advance royalties on projects generally within days to weeks. An application from Symphonic will require an update to your agreement.
Symphonic knows that one size does not fit all in matters of growing your career. We’ve additionally partnered with Sound Royalties so that our client base can explore more than one option.
Symphonic can issue royalty advances directly for artists and labels that qualify via the application process that is provided when you become a client and, after you’ve reached a threshold of royalty earnings. Additionally, we are partnered with Sound Royalties to give our clients even more royalty advance options.
You get to retain the rights to your music while getting the upfront cash you need to put funds to work to help accelerate and grow your career.
(You must be a Digital Distribution client and have royalties for a minimum of a year to receive an advance.)
