To be considered for a royalty advance through Symphonic and/or our financing partners, artists and labels must be active Symphonic distribution clients with a proven history of digital earnings.
Advance offers are evaluated based on factors such as:
Consistent streaming and revenue performance
Catalog size and historical royalty trends
Upcoming release plans and delivery schedule
Potential to transfer additional catalog or verified earnings history
In some cases, clients may still qualify by moving an existing catalog to Symphonic and providing documented royalty history from prior distributors.
Royalty advances are structured as recoupable investments against future earnings—designed to help rights holders access capital while maintaining long-term ownership.

Symphonic provides royalty advances to qualified artists and labels based on catalog performance and projected future earnings. Approved advances may be offered directly through Symphonic or through one of our trusted financing partners, giving clients additional flexibility and funding options. Advance availability depends on factors such as delivery status, earnings history, and overall catalog activity.
For current Symphonic clients, advance applications are available directly within SymphonicMS. If you are eligible through Symphonic, you will be prompted on the SymphonicMS.com login for your account and/or explore options from our advance partners featured on this page, each with its own set of qualifications.
If you’re not yet a Symphonic client, you’ll need to create an account to begin the application process.
There is no fee to apply.
Advances are recouped automatically from future royalties until the balance is repaid.
Advance amounts vary depending on earnings history, catalog size, and projected performance.
In some cases, yes. Clients may qualify by transferring their catalog and providing verified earnings history.
Every artist’s situation is different, and while we generally look for some existing royalty earnings when evaluating advance eligibility, there is no minimum earnings requirement to apply.
Most advances are paid within days or weeks—not months. This timing depends on Symphonic receiving your application and all required documentation in a complete and timely manner. Our advance partners follow a similar timeline, typically funding projects within a few days to a few weeks. Please note that a Symphonic-issued advance will require an update to your current agreement.
Symphonic understands that every artist’s path is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to growing your career. That’s why we work with partners who share our values and commitment to supporting artists—giving our clients access to multiple options that best fit their needs.
Yes—advances are structured to provide funding while you retain ownership of your rights.
During the recoupment period, a portion of royalties will be applied toward the advance balance.
Recoupment timelines may vary depending on future performance, but repayment is tied only to royalty earnings.
